Default Reports -- combo box values

I'm a newbie to Access and I really have no idea what to do with my problem...

I had used a two-field combo box (eventnumber and eventname) on a form and
now I want to display the selected value of that combo box in a query and a
report but somehow I keep on just getting only the eventnumber and not the
eventname.

Please help . . .

You need to base your report on a query; not a table. Include in the query
your event table and the same table your form is based on. Pull down into
the query grid the event name field from your event table. Include in your
report a field that has event name as the control source.
