losing text edit function after grouping
I've created a simple shape from a box and a line, grouped them and saved
them to the stencil. Problem is, after they've been grouped I lose the ability to click into the box to add or edit text. Am I doing something wrong? tia jc |

losing text edit function after grouping
Hello jc,
If you group two shapes a third shape is generated to contain them. You should normally be able to sub select a shape within a group and then press F2 to edit the text. Another option might be to make your shape with the text your group shape. To do this try the following: 1) Select your shape with the text and then from the menu bar - Shape / Grouping / Convert to group 2) Now select both shapes and again from the menu bar - Shape / Grouping / Add to group This will result in a top level group shape that contains your text and you can edit as normal. Hope that helps. Best regards John John Goldsmith (Visio MVP) www.visualSignals.typepad.co.uk www.visualSignals.co.uk "merlin" wrote in message ...
