visio 5.0 service release C
I'm running W2K and had Visio 5.0 from my last PC. I added it to my W2K
laptop and tried to run it but it came back with an error message "This program might not run as expected on this version of Windows." When I clicked on details, it said "The program you are trying to run has a service release available that corrects several known issues. You should install Visio 5.0 service release C or later to ensure proper operation on this version of windows." And of course, the 800 number published for help is always busy. Anyone know what I should do, just short of buying a newer version of Visio? |

Hello,
The issues is due to the application compatibility. You have two options: 1. Click on the "Continue" button (if you get one of the message box) to run the application. or 2. a] locate the visio32.exe file of Visio 5.0 b] right click on that and select "Properties" c] click on "Compatibility" tab and put a tick mark for "Run this program in the compatibility mode for" and select the drop down to "Windows 98/Windows Me" d] Click on OK. Hope the above information will help you. Regards, Jagadeesh.P Microsoft Visio Support. |
