gpo office 2007 install
I'm confused. From what I've read on the Microsoft site, I can run
\\server\share\setup.exe /admin to customize. But those cutomizations won't be noticed if installed as a published install. But I can't see anything about scripting Outlook Profiles in the xml config files. |

gpo office 2007 install
Hi Jeremy,
The Office Customization Tool (OCT) is built into Setup.exe of Office 2007 of Enterprise/volume licensed versions of Office 2007 The download that Hayward mentions updates the \Admin folder contents for those editions beyond what is on the original media. The download can cause the OCT to be available in retail versions, but the results of using that unsupported configuration may be unexpected. However, as you mentioned, the .MSP files created by the Office Customization Tool aren't supported in a GPO install, and the config.xml files have fairly narrow choices of features. This article from the Office Resource Kit addresses the use of a GPO installation approach. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc179214.aspx which is included in the download version of the Office 2007 Group Policy Overview at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=94264 If you've chosen not to use the Office 2007 Setup and Customization Tools you should be able to use the Outlook Profile (PRF) approach from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc178945.aspx ============= "Jeremy Schubert" wrote in message ...
