Default Inserting hyperlink problem

I have been trying to resolve this to no avail.

I send an email to myself as follows:

test
End link test.

"test" is a hyperlink.

What I receive is:

HYPERLINK "http://www.citlink.net/~alex" test
End link test.

Why is this occurring?? Is there a way to just simply receive a link such
as "mylink" without all the extraneous stuff?

I have tried just typing the link in and get the same result.
I want to use the Outlook "insert" link so that I can create a link like "Go
Here"
and hide the actual link.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Alex

For the record, to avoid this problem:
in Outlook go to Tools-Options-Mail Format -Compose in this message
format: HTML
