You have to uninstall any trial, clear temp folders & reboot, prior to
installing any Office version from cd
Exactly what was provided with your Word Book?

Default trouble with installing

i have a similar situation: i was told to unisnstall a certain trial version
on my PC before installing Home & Student with the disc. however, i could
not find anything referred to as a trail version when searching. I assume it
must be there? There is Microsoft Works on the computer allready, do I need
to get rid of that??
thanks

If Office is installed it can be found in the Add/remove dialogue
Or your PC documentation should tell you what your PC software &
configeration is.

Do we assume you installed H&S and it wont take your key?
Better to start a new post rather than tag on to an existing one
