what are windows controls and their purpose

I need to know as much as possible about windows controls and their purpose
please assist if you can.

I think you may be talking about the window controls in a Word window, such
as the Minimize, Maximize, Restore, and Close buttons? Or perhaps the
entries on the Window menu?
