Unable to copy autotext from doc to normal using organizer
We're using Word 2000 with Windows 2000 NT on a Citrix server. When I
try to use the Organizer to copy customized autotext entries from the current document to my Normal template, I receive an error that my source file is the same as my destination file (because when I select the Autotext tab - the current document name appearing on the left changes to my Normal.dot). However, when I select styles, toolbars or macros - the left box inserts the respective information that is available in the current. Help!! I must be missing something! Thanks in advance! Michele |

Unable to copy autotext from doc to normal using organizer
Hi Michele
AutoText can't be stored in a document, only in a template. Check the "Look in" box of the Insert AutoText AutoText dialog to see which template your entries are stored in -- it's probably Normal.dot.
