Problems with converting a publication to web page
Hi,
I have a 20 page newsletter created in publisher that I'm trying to convert to a web page. When I try to preview the web page in IE, I notice that the following two problems occur: 1. Text is cut off at the bottom of some of the pages. There appears to be a fixed height for all the web pages, and I'm not sure how to change this. 2. **Some** Pictures which are up front in the publication are now behind background items. Others display just fine. I'd appreciate any help with this! Thanks! |

Problems with converting a publication to web page
It sounds like you are using Pub 2002, as that is the only version that has
a fixed page length in a web page. The solution is to either lengthen the pages (File Page setup), or shorten/rearrange the content. Or perhaps change the font size, or even the font to a web font. 2. Try selecting the image and bringing it forward, or change the layout. Word wrap has not worked in a web publication since Pub 2000. When you switch from a print document to a web document, you are switching to a different medium, and you simply cannot format or layout the publications in the same way. Some print formatting cannot be converted to html, and you have to redesign to fit the medium.
