Default Bound string field not acception non-numerics

Can Access decide on its own to have a bound text box (for a string field)
only accept numeric characters. The field happends to usually be solely
numeric, but I still need it to accept alphas if it needs to for some
reason. There are no events on it and all of the properties are exactly the
same as the other text boxes bound to string fields on that form. Am I
missing something here?

Thanks,
Jayyde

There are two places this can be controled. One is the Input Mask property
of the text box. The other is the Input Mask property of the field to which
the text box is bound in the recordset.
