Default How can I insert an ellipse on a line in a table?

I am working in a table and need to be able to insert an ellipse to the end
of the line. Is that possible? Seems the standard method does not work in a
table.

What standard method are you talking about?

The "standard method" (tab stop with period leader) does work, but you must
use Ctrl+Tab to insert a tab in a table.
