Default Update query by 1/2 entered number

Two update queries. Number fields are being updated. Query
is simply [number field] + [Add this amount] A popup comes
up and user enters number to be added. In second update
query the number to be added will always be 1/2 of the
number entered in first query . Instead of user having to
figure 1/2 I am trying to have query do it. So second
update query would be [number field] + [Add this Amount /
2]. If user enters 10, then 5 would be added to number
field. I have tried many variations of second query but,
can't get it right. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
