Yes, but the header opening in a new pane is exactly what will happen if the White Space is not displayed and you use EditFind to find a word that appears in the Header or Footer of a document. As I have already pointed out, this also happens if the text is in an
*unused* header/footer. For example, suppose you have created a First Page Header with the given text in it. If you then disable "Different first page," Find will still find that text, opening it in a separate pane labeled "First Page Header - Section x." In order to access and delete/change the text, you must enable "Different first page" temporarily. -- Suzanne S. Just did some more digging. Turns out the header was in a table. When he
converts table to text I am able to see the header with no issues. So, it appears to be a problem with not recognizing a table in the header. Is that a known issue? "Suzanne S. No. It is quite a normal practise to use a table to layout a Header -
especially if it contains a graphic. The most likely scenario is that the table is floating that is off the page when you open it on your PC.
