Visio driving me crazy
I'm trying to generate a Use Case diagram, that's easy. But I cannot figure
out how to make a Use Case Description. I've found out that there at property tags that can be created and a documentation property tag that is already there, but what I cannot fathom is how these can be useful if one cannot print them out with the diagram. Am I missing something, or is this a limitation to the SW? I'm using Visio 2003. Thanks, Adrian |

Maybe there could be some VBA solution to generate this information?

Visio driving me crazy
Hey Paul,
Thanks for the link. I've looked at it and it would appear that it does not address the concerns which I am referring to. Just skimming over the help pages, it appears that Sandrila is a few scripts to jump to different pages (interesting), some diagram analysis for checking for errors in the diagram (possibly useful) and a few others that I don't apply to my application. There appear to be more stencils, but the ones Visio comes with are (currently) sufficient. Is there something I am missing? Visio driving me crazy
That's crazy, what is the point of having the tags then? For use with M$
propriety crap? This just fuels the hatred for MS stuff and reduces their sales, since if it allowed access to this data, one could programme some interesting stuff and release it. Then others may pick up Visio because the off shoot app is useful. But hey, that MS for ya, always one step behind companies like Google and Netscape. Thanks Paul for a most descriptive response. Would you care to elaborate?

wrote: Thanks Paul for a most descriptive response. Would you care to elaborate? Well, it's just that my application is somewhat more than "a few scripts". It's not a script at all. It's a complete application for creating SDL, MSC, TTCN, URN and UML diagrams, it can import diagrams from other tools, as well as analysis of diagrams including syntax checking and state analysis. -- Regards, Paul Herber, Sandrila Ltd.
