If yours already is then this is probably not the solution for you. You cannot upgrade the folder to the new type so you need to create a new data file (you are given the choice of which type old or new). Select new type and give it a different name to your existing one. Having created it you then must go file, open outlook data file, select the new file. It will appear in the left column of outlook. Then import the original mailbox into the new one (relevant subfolders will be created as necessary). Once you are happy with the new setup set your new datafile as the default (tools, account settings, datafiles )and then remove the original datafile (this not deleted just disconnected so if all fails you can go back to it ) Trust this not too confusing. The folder is full
I just started having this problem as well. When I try to delete a folder I
get the following error message: "Can not delete the folder. Right click the folder, and then click Properties to check your permissions for the folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions. The folder is full" When I try to look at the permissions it is all grey'd out so there is nothing I can do with that. What should I try next? Also, the folder is not full. I tried to drag the folder to the delete folder and got the same error message. I am running Vista Ultimate and Office Outlook 2007 (12.0.6504.5000) SP2 MSO (12.0.64251000). All my patches and updates have been installed. The folder is full
Brian,
I am a home user and I'm using a PST that is just under 845,000KB. There are 2 folders I'm trying to delete, the first is a sub folder under my inbox and the second is under RSS feeds. While I'm not 100% certain I think this problem started when I used pstscan.exe. Sam "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: "SamA" wrote in message ... I just started having this problem as well. Brian,
I wanted to also mention that I can delete specific messages within a folder I just can't delete folders. As it turns out it is any folder at this time as I've tried a bunch of different ones.
