Default The folder is full

I can't delete, move or rename folders that I created in outlook 2007 mail.
If I try, I keep getting an error message saying that the folder is full. I
can create new folders but I am not able to erase the new ones created or the
old ones. I am not able to delete empty folders, not even in the recycle bin
folder.

Try using google with the EXACT error message or come back and tell us word
for word what it says - I'll google it.

I did that but in most cases refer to folders permissions. After checking
that I verified that I am in full control. In other cases they refer to other
discussion groups but I haven't been able to find the answer to how to delete
folders. It looks like that I overflow some limit. Any ideas?

I have the same problem, but it is files I can't delete. Basically Outlook
2007 running on XP with all the updates has ceased to work.

Here are the messages I get.
"folder is full" & "the messaging interface has returned an unknown error"
etc.

I can't delete, send or receive mail.

I checked for updates. The second message has a hotfix but only when
associated with shared calendars. That does not apply here. I can tell a
lot of people have been googling the same error messages, so I suspect we are
not the only ones with this problem.

Default The folder is full

Check the permissions set on your PST file. How large is your PST file?
How much free disk space do you have?

Sorry if this is a duplicate response....
The only solution I have found that works (for me)...
The error stems from the outlook folder type being the old type (pre
2003 ver)
The folder needs to be of the newer type.
If yours already is then this is probably not the solution for you.
You cannot upgrade the folder to the new type so you need to create a
new data file (you are given the choice of which type old or new).
Select new type and give it a different name to your existing one.
Having created it you then must go file, open outlook data file,
select the new file. It will appear in the left column of outlook.
Then import the original mailbox into the new one (relevant subfolders
will be created as necessary). Once you are happy with the new setup
set your new datafile as the default (tools, account settings,
datafiles )and then remove the original datafile (this not deleted
just disconnected so if all fails you can go back to it )
Trust this not too confusing.
