Default room resource email forward to delegate issue

September 2nd, 2009 at 1:13 pm
I have a resource room with a delegate to approve and deny events. I also
have the room setup so that the receptionists can go to the calendar and
manually enter an event (for example an outside agency reserving space), we
would like those manually input events to be forwarded to the delegate for
approval. We do this so the notes are double checked for accuracy, especially
since we have a new receptionist still learning the ropes.

I tested this out once on another room and it seemed to work, but no longer
will forward a manually entered event to a delegate. Is there any way to make
this happen?

Why not just have the receptionist "Make a Meeting" like everyone else
so it will use the automation?

If the issue is that she doesn't want to fill her own calendar with these
appointments, have her:
- Create NEW CALENDAR folder
- Name it something like "Reservation Calendar"

Then when she MAKES AN APPOINTMENT, she just uses the
"Reservation Calendar" and sends it for approval.

This will work nicely to track how often she is performing this duty
because she can just change the view to "By Category" and show
the count of items.

that might be a possibility. I'll have to check with the manager to see if
this would be an acceptable solution, but it may be too confusing for them.
too many calendars. thanks! i think right now, they are just inviting the
manager, which again poses the issue with the events filling up on her
calendar.
