Default Creating a Diagram using data in Excel

I want to create a network diagram to represent figures in an excel file. I
have tried to use the database wizard option in Visio 2003 Pro but it is not
recognising the table in my excel file when i try to link the file. It is not
a flow chart but more a network diagram to show how many different types of
connections there are to various nodes. My spreadsheet is actually in a
database format listing all the separate connections but i am not sure how to
link this to Visio.

Please can someone help me out.

I believe the Database Wizard requires the table to be a named range.
