Can't stop the "Save changes to ...." dialog
Somehow, my Visio drawing has had some corruption that causes the Custom
Property Sets window to always pop up when I open that drawing (other drawing do not cause the behavior). Then, even if I make no changes to the drawing - such as immediately close it again - Visio pops up the dialog asking if I want to save changes. Its a PITB. I want to be asked when I do make changes, but not everytime I open the drawing. Anyone experienced anything like this? Any ideas on how to stop it? Thanks, Ray |

Can't stop the "Save changes to ...." dialog
This issue has already been reported. Once the file is in this state it is
stuck in this loop. The Custom Property Set window will display even if closed. However I don't experience your prompt for saving the file. In my testing I used Visio Professional 2003 service pack 3. The issue only seems to happen after you save the drawing with the Property Set Window open. Can't stop the "Save changes to ...." dialog
James,
Do you know of anything from Microsoft that explains or provides a fix/workaround for the problem? Also, could I email the drawing file to you to take a look at? Thanks, Ray "James Wittrell" wrote: This issue has already been reported. Once the file is in this state it is stuck in this loop. The Custom Property Set window will display even if closed. Can't stop the "Save changes to ...." dialog
I have not been able to locate an official workaround for the issue. You
could try copying the objects to a new drawing, just make sure you don't have the Property Set Window open during the save action. In regards to you sending the file I don't think this will help. As stated Microsoft is aware of the issue hopefully it will be addressed in a future version.
