I have a form for engineer to enter the parts for scrap.
When they enter the parts and the quantity, for example is 5. But I need another table for individual record for the 5parts. How can I do that, because I need to analysis for each one and will have different result. Appreciate for any help. |

Hong,
If i understand properly, each time an engineer make an entry they will in fact need to enter specific data for each scrapped part. Based on this you will need to set up a secondary table to house the relevant information about each scrap part and link it back to the first by a common piece of information. then you'll need to create a subform of your main form to display the detailled info about each part. They will simply navigate through each piece and then add the info they need to. Below are to good links to get you started on using subforms. http://www.fgcu.edu/support/office20.../subforms.html http://www.functionx.com/access/Lesson27.htm hope this help, Daniel "Hong" wrote: I have a form for engineer to enter the parts for scrap. Let me make it clear:
First, I need to creat a form for the first engineer enter the some information, for example like Part#1, 20pcs is bad. Second, I need to create another form for the test engineer to enter data. for example, Part#1, 2o pcs maybe have 20 different problem. That's the I don't know how create the table and form base on the first fom. Thank you very much for the help.
