Dialing from an Access form / Access 97 & Access 2000
I will be developing some forms in Access 97 (which I have installed at
home) to be used in an Access 2000 data base elsewhere. I would like to have a field which contains a phone no to (when clicked) automatically dial the no using the telephone connection thru the Pc's modem. I can't find anything in Access 97 documentation that shows I can do this. Can I do with Access 2000 (unfortunately I don't have it installed at home). Any help would be much appreciated. Abay |

Abay If you add a command button to a form, using the wizard, one of the actions in the Miscellaneous category is Autodialer. Click in the Phone field, then click the command button. Also, you can simply add the phone dialer tool button to the form. Right-click on an empty section of any tool bar. Select Customize + Commands Find Records in the Commands list. Then, in the right panel of available commands drag the phone onto the tool bar. -- Fred Please only reply to this newsgroup. I do not reply to personal email. |
