Default how do I add cc: field in email merge?

I'm creating an email merge using MS Outlook and MS Excel. I would like to
add an email address in the cc: field as well as the To: field. Is this
possible? If so, how? Thank you.

You can't do it doing the out-of-the-box mailmerge feature and need to do
your "merge" some other way. One way is Doug Robbins' approach - see

http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/...ttachments.htm

and follow it very carefully. If you use Google groups to search this group
for e.g. jamieson activerecord outlook application you may find various
macros I've created overt the years for similar purposes but
a. they only work when you want to produce one e-mail for each data source
record. Any NEXT, NEXTIF, SKIP or SKIPIF fields and you're sunk.
b. I know for a fact that my macros are nothing like as well tested as
Doug's

Thumbs up

Hi DLEESE04,

If you only need to CC one specific person each time, you could create an Outlook rule that goes like "CC this address on all outgoing email", and only activating it when you need to send these email merges. If your need is not more complex, that should do it.

I had the need to send emails out with varying folks in CC, and myself in BCC as part of my Getting Things Done work method, and (just as Doug Robbins solution posted by Peter Jamieson) was pointed to VB code. If you're OK with working with code, no need to read my answer further!

As I don't believe most office folks are OK working with code, I ended up making my own tool EmailMerge.cc . Let me know if that solves your issue too: http://emailmerge.cc/

For now it uses just a plain text file or an HTML file if you need formatting (not a Word document yet, but that will come soon) and the data from your Excel file.
That way you can send the emails out and CC your colleague as well.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers,
Emilien

P.S.: My intent is not to dig out an older post, but to provide an easy solution to DLEESE04's problem. And since there was only one answer to this post, but this page is ranked high on the search engines, I suppose others with the same problem might find this tool helpful.
