Default tracing formula over multiple worksheets

I have a summary worksheet that adds up totals from
different worksheets in the same document but in
inconsistant locations on the different worksheets. I
would like to be able to check that the cells that are
being added for the summary sheet are the correct cells.
What is the easiest way to do this?

I've tried the audit function but this does not allow easy
checking between the sheets.

one option is to download a fee addin named 'explode' from Aaron Blood's website

http://www.xl-logic.com/pages/explode.html

this gives very good cross worksheet auditing and isn't too difficult to use.

when you say you've tried Auditing. Have you tried the
double click onthe join line shown when you switch
auditing on? Takes you straight back to the source link
so you can check? Is this no good.
