Reestablish Links
I posted this in the general forum and got no response
I'm hoping someone can help. I have an excel file with a bunch of pivot tables that are linked to an access db. I moved the two files from my desktop into a folder and now the pivot tables won't update because the link from the pivot to the db is wrong. I can't find a way to reestablish the link without recreating all the tables. Any ideas? (moving them back to my desktop doesn't count). Thanks for any help. Ian. |

Reestablish Links

I can't find a way to reestablish the link without recreating all the tables. You need to change the Connection property of the PivotCache(s) used by the tables. There is no user interface for this in Excel. I have a utility that might do it for you. If you would like to try it email me at Bill_Manville @ compuserve.com (without the spaces) and remind me that your interest is in moving pivot table sources from desktop.
