Error 2203 during setup
Cross - Post based on previous install of Enterprise
I had tried installing Enterprise 2007 and got fed up trying to get a response from my school or Microsoft and have been trying to install Office 2007 trial from Microsoft's website and still get the following error: Error 2203. An internal error has occurred. (C:\Windows\Installer\292ba25.ipi -2147287035 ). This ipi number does change every time I try to do the complete uninstall and reinstall of office. I also get an error that pops up during the install as follows: Error 1310. Error writing to file C:\Config.Msi\292bb14.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory. Now I had uninstalled previous versions of office installs, etc, per the following microsoft link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218 I have also verified that my user, system, and administrative group have full control over the following directories: \config.msi \program files\common files\microsoft shared \winows\installer So I take it this is not a key issue or a permission issue and have been without office on this computer for over 3 weeks now. |
