Default September 1st OE changes with Hotmail

We've gotten MS emails saying that on Sep 1 Outlook Express must be
reconfigured for POP3 only in order to get Hotmail web mail. I've done this
already and it works. HOWEVER, I have 2 Hotmail web accounts and when I
receive mail for both separate accounts, it puts BOTH account mail in one
inbox location (the Local Folders location). Dumb. Is there ANY way to
separate my two Hotmail web accounts so they can be viewed from their own
locations?

Thanks.

Tools, Message rules, Mail, New
Select Where the mail is from 'specified' account, Move to 'specified'
folder and Stop processing more rules.
Click on 'specified' account, select an account.
Click on 'specified' folder, click New folder, create your folder.....

Me again, Ron........

I've done what you recommended (see below). It works!

Now for a final question. When I send/receive the mail to the new POP3
Hotmail accounts in OE6, it downloads the WHOLE message, attachments and
all, unlike my other non-POP3 Outlook Express Hotmail messages (invalid
after 1 Sep) which only download the header info (To, From, Subject
line...).

Is there any way to get only the header info w/o downloading the entire
contents? Thanks again.

With pop email, it is all or none. You do not download or you download the
whole message.

No, nor are those previous Hotmail-specific folders
(http://articles.techrepublic.com.com...403shu01_C.gif)
available in OE now.

MS Outlook Express does not download headers only from POP3 accounts. There
are clients capable of downloading just the POP3 headers, but you would have
to learn how to use the client all over again; they are not similar to MSOE.

Mr. Miller, I know now that using OE with the "new" POP3-only service will
not download just headers. But I was hoping. I know that my "old" service
with OE would get my legacy Hotmail email with headers only. Seems like a
step backwards as of Sep 1!

In any case, I installed Thunderbird email client and it does everything! I
set it up to get multiple Hotmail POP-3 accounts and it (optionally) to
downloads headers only -- not the entire message contents -- in their own
folders even! It's great. Sending and receiving mail is flawless. Such a
deal.

Anyway, thanks for your comments.
