Default Emails not visable

Hi

I hear the sound of a few emails coming through but they are not visible to
me.

Maybe they are going to spam or something but I do not know where I can find
a spam folder either.

Some people have sent emails to me but I have not received them.

Please help !

Do you have a spam program? Any message rules or blocked senders? Have you
checked in Deleted Items?

Do any of your folders have a + sign in front of them? Click on it to show
subfolders.

Tools | Options | general. Check: Automatically expand folders with unread
messages.

Every new message will trigger the alert regardless of what folder they go
to. And any folder with an unread message will show the number of unread
messages with a (X) with X = the unread messages. But you won't see that
if the folder is not showing. (Expanded).

Thank you Bruce

I have tried all those things just now but still no good.

I just wonder whether there is an in built spam restriction that I am not
aware of ????

OE has no spam program built-in. When you here the new mail sound, do you
also see the new mail icon in the SysTray? If not, then either you are not
hearing the new mail notification sound, or something else is also using
it.

Control Panel | Sounds And Audio Devices | Sounds. Many actions play a
sound. Click on each one that has a speaker icon and then the arrow to
the left of the Browse button to hear the sound. Any of them match the new
mail sound?

If an incoming message is filtered to, e.g., Deleted Items folder (and
marked as read) by one of your Message Rules, it's still a "new message" as
far as Outlook Express is concerned.

Tip: View | Current view | Make sure that "Show all messages" and possibly
"Group messages by conversation" are the only options selected here.

That being said & considering your mysterious Find problem, your current
identity may be damaged...or you may be seeing the effects of a hijackware
infection.

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Win98 SE).

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)?

Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on the
computer (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought
it)?

I see an email coming in notification but the emails are then not visible to
me in my Inbox.

Hi

I have found that a non visible spam interceptor file has the 'lost' emails
in it.

The file has now been arranged to be visible to me by my ISP.

Thanks for you efforts anyway !!

What about my 'Find' feature problem please ?
