Default Printing Issues with Background Images

I have created a Background image that basically is a header and footer. I
have a text box in the mid section of the page where text would be typed. It
looks good and works the way I want it too when it is opened. However, when
I go to print, I get multiple thumbnail size images duplicated all over the
page. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Don't even try to do this as a "background." Instead, anchor your graphic to
the header and format it as Behind Text (see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/AnchorToHeader.htm). And you don't need a
text box in the document area (which will be very limiting if you need more
than one page). Just type directly in the document body.

FWIW, you'll reduce the document size if you just use the Header and Footer
area for your header and footer instead of creating a full-page graphic; see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm; if this is letterhead,
see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Letterhead.htm
