"Check for Updates" in Office 2003
I want to deploy Office 2003 to my user base but do not want to have them be
able to use the "Check for Updates" under "Help". Is there a way I can set this via GPO or during a custom install? |

Hi, Eric,
You can disable these using GPO with a BlockUpdates registry value name. However, they can still go to the Office Update Web site without using that menu option. If you need details on using GPO in Office, see these articles: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...513601033.aspx http://www.microsoft.com/office/orkarchive/2003ddl.htm -- Susan Ramlet MVP - Office Please reply to the newsgroups where others may benefit.
