Form sequence

Good for you. I often see forms that jump all over the place.
Get all other users out of the database if there are any.
Open up the form in Design view.
Click once on the first text box.
Bring up the propery sheet by pressing the F4 key.
Go to the Other tab.

Towards the bottom are the Tab Stop and Tab Index properties. If you want
something to tab into make sure that Tab Stop is set to Yes.

Tab Index is where you order the tabbing. The first one starts with 0 (zero)
and not 1. Work through starting with the first text field and number them in
the order that you want.

OR

When in the Tab Index property of a text box, look over to the right for the
little three dot ... build button. It will bring up a dialog box where you
can move things around or even let Access try to Auto Order things.

I created a form and have added all the fields I need. I then moved fields
around, putting this one in front of this one, this one underneath. When I
tabb through the form, it goes in the order I put the fields on my form,
jumping all around. I would like to be able to tabb through the fields from
top to bottom?? Can someone help me? I am using Access 2003.

You can just as easily point to the upper left corner of the form, right
click, select tab order and move them up and down to get the order you want.
