Default can't create a recurring appt/event

I found the 32-bit Control Panel. I set up the new profile. It didn't
resolve the problem, as the new profile doesn't send reminders for
numerous
recurring appts I set to occur in the next two days (with the advance
reminder set at 3 days). I set up two 1-shot appts on same days, same
advance, and got reminders for both of them immediately after hitting
'save &
close.'

Happens to me, too. Apparently recurring appointments are handled
differently that non-recurring ones.

Brian
I finally found a way...
I went to "Remove Programs" in Control Panel intending to yank & reinstall
Outlook. But it wouldn't let me uninstall just one program, it wanted to
uninstall Office in its entirety; which I didn't want to do. There was
another option for "Repair", which I used. That seemed to solve the problem,
as my recurring events are now working again.

Thx, Doug

fyi
I mentioned this to our IM guy at work. He was familiar with the problem,
as the same thing happened to his network. He said MS issued a patch, which
had an unusual rqmt; the patch wasn't activated until the "Repair" was
manually invoked.
