Default One or more parameter values are not valid

I keep getting this error msg when i try to send mail from Office Outlook
2003/2007. Error first appeared in Office 2003, then i installed Office
2007, since i was in the process of upgrading anyway, but still get the same
error when i try to send mail, or edit e-mail accounts. Msg is; "Could not
complete the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid." I've
re-installed twice, and run Office Diagnostic several times.

Default One or more parameter values are not valid

Does it work correctly in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start- Run; outlook.exe /safe

If so, it likely to be caused by a 3rd party addin.
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/88

If not, check your pst-file for errors.

Default One or more parameter values are not valid

I'm having the same exact problem with my boss's computer and I've tried all
the solutions with no effect.

using vista & outlook 2007

does not fix the problem by running outlook in safe mode.
I've tried running 'scanost'

I can receive e-mail but I can not send or reply.

All of the other outlook features work.

Did you try a new profile? This error usually means something is wrong with
the address book.

Default one or more parameter values...

I've had the same problem for almost a year -- Outlook is totally useless to me. I've tried creating a new data file, a new profile, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, I've run Repair, I even upgraded to 2007! I've tried all the methods suggested in MS support documents and everything I've read on the Internet. I am not running Exchange Server.

I deleted all email, tasks, notes -- even my Address Book. I've dumped everything.

Outlook is totally hosed and nothing I do works.

I did get one error that was different -- suggesting that I needed to reinstall (which I've tried several times) or that there was a Registry problem. Not much help to me.

I've very annoyed with MS -- no help from them. I've paid for the product, I want to use it!

Why no help from them. When you purchase a product from Microsoft, you have
90 days of free support. Did you call them or write to them or initiate a
chat with them?
