Access 2007: Need more info on 'concatenante fields'
Beginner in Access 2007. Question related to queries: concatenante fields.
Does the expression results show in forms? Also, pre-existing lookup data type in tables, when creating a query for the lookup data, will added data automatically be udated in the form selection drop-down entry box? |

YOu'll have to explain a bit more. "concatenate fields" - where? How are you doing so? If you have a calculated field (such as an expression) in a Query and base a Form on that query, binding a textbox to that calculated field, yes it will be visible (but not editable). Read http://www.mvps.org/access/lookupfields.htm for a critique of what many of us consider a misdesigned feature. You'll also need to explain what you mean by "creating a query for the lookup data" and under what circumstances you want it to be updated. -- John W. Vinson [MVP] |
