How to receive message w/o pics in OE 6?
You can't do what you have in mind with the limited tools in Outlook
Express' rules. What you can do, is use a 3rd party program to "preview" your mail and decide which you would like to delete from the server before opening Outlook Express. Try Magic Mail Monitor. It's small, fast, and best of all, free. It supports multiple POP accounts. You can also configure it to open messages as *.eml instead of *.txt, so you can read messages in an OE window without launching OE itself. MagicMailMonitor http://service.schlund.de/service/do...vice/magic.zip -- Jim Pickering, MVP-Outlook Express Please reply only to newsgroup. "Brad" wrote in message om... Recently a friend sent 8 pictures attached to an email. With my slow dialup, the email hung up and did not complete so new messages from others could not be received. The pictures came below the message so I could scroll down and view the pics but I want them as an attachment. When I logged off and logged back on, the email started over and hung up each time. What setting can I select in OE 6 that gives me just the email message without attachments so I can decide whether to download the pictures or not? Thanks for any replies.... Brad |
