2) Can Word be used to generate graphics?
All I want to do is type a little note and be able to get a graphic out
of it. I can type it in Word, plain text editor, or HTML, but the bridge from there to .png, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, etc has been impassable. I know this may be a little off topic, but any assistance would be desperately and gratefully appreciated. P D Sterling Dallas TX

Why don't you start with a graphics program and then add the text within

I don't know which programs you may have or don't have. Do you have
Publisher? Home Publishing? Some sort of card-making program? A lot of people recommend Irfanview (see http://www.irfanview.com/). It's

I will give it a try - I saw it on a list, but most of these are geared
