Product Key is not working
I could've sworn I posted this question the other day, but now I can't find
it on the forum. Anyway, I purchased MS Office 2003 a year or two ago, so I should have a valid product key for that version. When I bought a new computer, it came with a trial-version of MS Office 2007 installed (Vista OS). To the best of my knowledge, I entered my product key for Office 03 at the prompt for the Office 07 trial version, and it worked fine. I've just recently restored my system to factory settings, and now my product key for Office 03 won't work in the prompt for Office 07. What can I do? I've looked for places to download the 03 version, but most sites just offer service packs or updates. And the original disc I got is at my parent's house in another country. |

Product Key is not working
Office 2003 key will NOT work on a Office 2007. Go out and purchase and Office 2007
suite and then you will have the proper key You probably also made you Office 2003 key null and void when you used it on the Office 2007 Trial as you posted -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. Product Key is not working
Thanks for your response, Peter.
So even if I purchased a product key that they said was good for "a lifetime," there's no way I can gain access to a copy of Off 03 without being in posession of the disc? I'm sure you can understand, I'm kind of reluctant to pay $100 for something that I don't really need. Off 03 worked fine for me.. Product Key is not working
Your 2003 key could not have worked for the 2007 version.
I assume that you bought some sort of downloaded version of 2003 and never made a backup disk? -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "bri2480" wrote in message ... Product Key is not working
Product key is good for a lifetime for the Office suite (2003) that you purchased.
It is not good for any other Office suite only for the purchased one and in this case Office 2003 PROVIDING you use the same install media -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. Product Key is not working
What happened was, I purchased it and downloaded it onto my mother's
computer. Then authorized it on mine. Then she received the disc in the mail. So technically I can still re-authorize my computer to use Off 03, but I can't find anywhere to download Off 03 since the discs are in another country. It's looking like I'm just SOL. You can't download it anylonger. Get your mother to send you your disks
ASAP. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "bri2480" wrote in message ...
