Default New Blank Document for MS 2007

Somehow I managed to change my setting for a blank document when I open up
Word. How can I change it back? I am not very computer literate, so I need
step by step directions. I tried followning a set that say to go to
Documents/Microsoft User Data and double-click a file called "Normal." I
don't see it.

http://wordprocessing.about.com/od/m...normal2007.htm

Or you search, to include hidden files, for normal.dotm, and delete all
instances. It will be recreated when you next start Word
