You seem to have omitted some word(s) in your sentence.
Did you mean LEFT most? Left([YourField], 12)
Did you mean RIGHT most? Right([YourField], 12)
Did you mean most often? Use a totals query with sort order of count
as descinding and SELECT TOP 12.
