Video and Slide Transitions
Hello
I have created a Powerpoint presentation with multiple videos in it. I have noticed that after they have finished playing some of them I have to click twice to advance to the next slide while others I only have to click once. I am using Powerpoint 2003, and just going to insert movie from file choosing file. How can I make all slides with video on them advance with one click after the video has stopped playing? Thank you Kaitlin |

What are your slide transition settings? If you set the slides to transition
automatically after 1 second, you shouldn't need to click anything. -- Sonia Coleman Microsoft PowerPoint MVP Team Autorun Software, Templates and Tutorials http://www.soniacoleman.com "Kaitlin" wrote in message news Hello I have created a Powerpoint presentation with multiple videos in it. Sonia-
I have set the slides to transition after one second but it does not activate. It just sits on the video until I hit right arrow twice and then it will transition to the next slide. It seems like the video is still taking control of the slide even though it has finished playing. Thanks Kaitlin |

Is there anything else on the slide other than the movie? Do you have anything
on the Slide Master that requires a mouse click? "Kaitlin" wrote in message ... Sonia- I have set the slides to transition after one second but it does not activate. There is nothing on the master slide, and the only thing on the slide is the video. I have tried adding an animation to activate after previous but it does not work. It really just seems like the video ends and sticks. Thanks |

Do you have rewind checked or unchecked? What sort of movies are they?

I suspect some of the videos were made with one of the popular video editors
and it doesn't meet the standards for mpg-1. If they are small enough fire one off to me in an email and I'll look at it. Austin Myers MS PowerPoint MVP Team "Kaitlin" wrote in message ... Hello They are Mpeg-1 videos. Rewind is not checked. thanks |

Are you clicking on the video, or in an unused area of the slide?

I wonder if updating Direct X would help at all with this? Might be worth a
try, anyway. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com "Kaitlin" wrote in message ... Hello They are Mpeg-1 videos. Rewind is not checked. thanks |
