IE7 Problem with Java Applets....
I have a user on a domain at a different site to ours and they are having
issues accessing a website (training program) that requires Java. They are down as having Java under add/remove programs but apparently this is an issue with them allowing java to be run (stopping the applets) when going out to the net and I am told this could be because of a proxy server stopping it or a firewall issue. The site has its own domain controller, and if it needs to access us (where we can assess this site it works fine) it goes to use via a netpilot so as it accesses it like this I am confused on if it has a firewall or a proxy server! I need to know the following: How do I check if there is a proxy server? And how do I check if there is a firewall? And if this is causing the problem how do you change these to allow Java applets? Also, is there one page on the microsoft site that leads to all the discussion groups for everything from servers down to operating systems and word to excel! -- Thanks for your help! |

Darren
This is not an Office issue but rather an IE7 problem. You should repost this to the IE7 newsgroup for a more comprehensive and correct answer. Post it here http://www.microsoft.com/communities...plorer.general -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged.
