Help!!!!!
Hello to all,
I work with a special accounting software for foundations and I am trying to set Word up to to produce Fund Statments. I have all the merge fields setup, but I would like the merge fields that have a "0.00" balance to not sho up on the statement. Does this make sense? Also, I would like to take the negative numbers on the statements and have them appear w/ brackets instead of a negative sign. HELP!!! Thank you in advance, Cindy --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |

Help!!!!!
Hi Cindy,
You can do this by adding a numeric picture switch to your mergefield. Here's how: 1. Select the mergefield and press Shift-F9. It should now look like: {MERGEFIELD Balance} 2. After your mergefield's data name (I've used 'Balance'), add: \# $,0.00;($,0.00); so that your field now looks like: {MERGEFIELD Balance \# $,0.00;($,0.00);} 3. Press F9 to update the field. Cheers PS: Change the currency symbol to whatever you want (or delete it altogether) and delete the commas from the switch if you don't want a thousands separator. --- Message posted from http://www.ExcelForum.com/ |
