Default 2.61 becomes 2.609999 when merging from Excel into Word.

2.61 becomes 2.609999 when merging from Excel into Word.
I have tried to re-format several ways in Excel (number, general, currency,
etc).

no luck...please help if familiar

Default 2.61 becomes 2.609999 when merging from Excel into Word.

Try using a ROUND function in Excel. What you have now is simply changing
the display in Excel but not the underlying number which is 2.609999.
