Publisher 2002

I am trying to create a booklet for our senior night and cannot figure out how to get the pages to print back to back. Counting the front and back cover I have 7 pages. I would also like to print on the inside of the front and back cover. HELP-this has to be completed by 5/19!

You can't have 7 pages - unless one of those pages are blank.

Alos, if you are talking about making your printer print on the front and
back of a piece of paper, your printer has to be capable of printing duplex.
Have you talked to a printer about doing the job? If so, does he accept
Publisher files? Ask for advice from him - our recommendations don't mean a
thing if your printer handles things differently. (Mac has taught me the
importance of getting advice from your printer. Thanks, Mac.)

go to double page view to set up your book, then in
print, go to collate and follow the instructions. You
need to be careful to select which pages to print and
then reinsert printed pages the opposite way. it might
take some experimentation, but it will do it.
Personally, i recommend 2000 version as 2002 is horrible
to use - nowhere near as user friendly as 2000!

But 2002 is better with publications that have photos. Much smaller files.
Plus I *really* like Print Preview. I'm just as fond of 2003 as 2002.

I would recommend 2002, as IMNSHO 2000 was horrible and nowhere near as
easy-to-use as 2002 (of course, 2003 is even easier).
What don't you like so much about 2002 that makes you rubbish it so?

Limitations on word art. 2002 changes word art from
previous versions to images, thus precluding the option
of altering any previous word art. It will not change
them back if you ask to save as p2000 either
When you try to redo the word art, you're presented with
a totally different system which i have found almost
totally incomprehensible, without any similarities of
operation to the old system that i have been able to find
as yet.
i'm spending a bit of time where possible to try and get
into this new system, but i'm really missing the point of
it all, i think.
Publisher is a great program and i've worked through
every version since about 1985, but when i had a problem
with 2000 one day shortly before a deadline and didn't
have my install CD with me, i went out and bought the 02
upgrade, thinking it would probably be better, just as
every previous version ie 1,2,3,95,98 and 2000 had
improved on each other, only to find that having opened
my 16 page publication that ALL my word art had been
converted to images and I couldn't change ANY of it in
the new program!!!
I ended up working 30 hours straight to redo all that
word art and get my newsletter out on time.
First thing I did when I got home was reinstall 2000 and
then spent a few more hours redoing the publication so
next month I wouldn't be trying to do the same thing
again.
So you can see why i'm not impressed with 2002. Maybe i
need a lesson in using the word art in 02, but i haven't
yet been able to get it to produce the same results as
2000 word art

likewise 2003 over 02, BUT i use a lot of word art and i
have done since Publisher version 1 around 1984/5 and
i've grown with word art, but 2002 word art is just so
totally different, i cant get it to work in any way
similar to how i used to get previous word art going.
print preview is OK, but a little superfluous considering
the wysiwyg system used in Pub

Geoff, you can use the old WordArt in Publisher 2002/03. Go to Insert
Object Create New MS WordArt 2.0
