Default New computer install help

I had Visio on a prior laptop that gave out. On that laptop I had upgraded
from Visio 2002 to Visio 2007 using an upgrade disk I bought. I need to get
Visio on my new machine. Unfortuntely I do not have the original Visio 2003
disk and therefore the Upgrade disk I have is useless. Can I install Visio
2007 from the upgrade disk without a previous stand alone version, or from a
trial version so I do not have to repurchase software I already own?

Thanks. Paul

Default New computer install help

Hi Paul,

You should be able to point the Visio 2007 Upgrade installation at the disk
for the older version to satisfy the upgrade scenario. Go ahead and launch
the install of Visio 2007, and when it prompts you to find the older
qualifying version, you can insert the CD for the older Visio setup and
Browse to the drive to let it 'find' the disk. You may need to point to
the Install folder, for instance, but the install should then be able to
proceed (after replacing the 2007 install disk in the drive, if necessary).

Hope that helps!!
