How do I fix this Press the Insert button (again, since that's how you got into Overtype mode in the first place). In Word 2003 and earlier, the letters OVR in the status bar at the bottom of the Word window will be black when you're in Overtype mode and gray when you're in Insert mode. You can also toggle modes by double-clicking those letters. In Word 2007, you can right-click the status bar and choose to show or hide the Overtype indicator. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
