Default Autonumbering fields

Can anyone advise whether it is possible to reset the start number on an
Autonumber field?

I am writting a billing database and it is to follow on from a previous
system so I would like to start from a specific number and not 1.

Thanks

Jean

See:
Set AtuoNumbers to start from...
at:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~allenbrowne/ser-26.html

The article explains how to temporarily append a record 1 less than the
number you want, which sets it up for you.

In Access 2000 and later, you can also set the Seed property of the
auto-increment Column using ADOX.

Thanks Allen, I am not ready to run this now but it prepares me for the
final database.
