Probably because you downloaded a different flavor of OneNote. Can you
borrow an external drive? (And I have to ask this because I'm curious: How do you intend to load any software if you don't have a disk drive?) -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "WillS" wrote in message ... Help One Note Product Code not recognized
Thank you for responding, JoAnn: XP Tablet (or at least the IBM X41 flavor
of it) does have a virtual CD-ROM, but using it is an involved process, and it does not seem to work well with recent Microsoft installers. I will try contacting MS Support on Monday, but I suspect you are correct. Any additional advice would be welcome. "JoAnn Paules" wrote: Probably because you downloaded a different flavor of OneNote. Virtual CD-ROM? How does one install a program on a real disk with a virtual
drive? (I'm being quite serious. I don't understand why people even consider that lack of hardware.) -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "WillS" wrote in message ...
