Default MS Access Database - Query

I created some queries using MS Access 2003. The queries were created in a
MS Access 2000 database. I gave a copy to my co-worker. My co-worker opened
the database in MS Access 2000. Every time he tries to open the query in
Designer, the database closes MS Access. No errors, nothing is displayed
before it is closed. Has anyone experienced this problem in the past.

Yep. It's a corrupted QueryDef. I usually copy the SQL and place it in
another QueryDef & delete the old QueryDef.

Sometimes it is the actual SQL statement that causes the crash. Then I
break up the SQL statement into parts & run the statement; add/subtract
parts until it crashes. That way I know which part of the SQL statement
is causing the problem & try to find a workaround.

Here's how to get the SQL statement out of a QueryDef: Open the Debug
window (Ctrl+G) and type the following:

? currentdb.querydefs("query name").sql

The SQL statement will appear in the Debug window. Copy it & create a
new QueryDef & past the SQL into the SQL View of the new QueryDef.
