Default Format Font Color

I have a Data base containing many records. in which there is a Date field
called "Date of Death".
I would like to change the Font color to a specific color where the date of
death is in the 19th Century and a different color for the 20th century.

I have tried to use an update query without success. Can this be done using
an Update query or other method?

Thanks for any help

You can change the font color of the Control in the Form or on the Report
where you display the information -- Conditional Formatting is probably the
simplest approach. It is covered reasonably well in Access 2003 Help.
