Good point and one I realised when I checked our version at work (been using
2002/3 so long I'd forgotten that 2000 and earlier didn't have that option!)

And you lot really need to join the 21st century and upgrade to 2002 at
least - you're not even running Windows XP, are you Don? ;o)

Still running 98SE, Publisher 2000, Quicken 2001 Basic, Word 97 SR1, and a
few more that the manuals are hand written on parchment paper.

The computer is an ASUS TUSL2-C with a 1.2 gig Tualatin and it's as reliable
as a '41 Massey Furgason (farm tractor talk).
Daughter and I are on a DSL modem/router (CAT5) and all is running so good I
hate to temp the electron ogres.

Also, I need to see some data (engineer talk G) showing me where upgrading
will make the black numbers (accountant's talk G) go bigger in my Quicken
files. We do like commas, and multi-digits.

And a real irritant is buying an operating system that may lead to asking
permission to reinstall it some Sunday morning at 2 AM and getting Sabu who
is a half a page ahead of you in some manual.

BUT! Come the day where a laptop with non-mechanical hard drive (those
"thumb drives" are going to grow), just maybe ol Donald will be tempted
providing an estimate of ample time is left before cooling to room
temperature.

Ciao for now,

Don
Vancouver, USA

A small child turns to Ed, and exclaims: "Look! Look! A post from Don
Schmidt !"...

That only occurs if you make major hardware changes, and even that leads to
a simple phone call to the activation center (I have used phone activation -
very painless - but I haven't tried talking to the support personnel there
as it was entirely automated - if the activation fails, you are transferred
to an operator, but that has never been necessary to me so I can't rate the
personnel)
I have never had to reactivate Windows on any machine apart from one where I
reinstalled Windows with a new product key.
